Orbit Account Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Orbit Account, the single account that is managed at accounts.orbithelm.com and used across Orbit Helm apps. By creating or using an account, you accept these terms.
1. Parties
Service provided by: Orbit Helm (a company being incorporated in England and Wales; its registration details will be added to this text once it is incorporated). In this text, "Orbit Helm" is referred to as "we", and the person using the account as "you".
2. The service
The Orbit Account provides account services such as signing in with an email code or a passkey, two-step verification, session and device management, consent records, and downloading and deleting your account data. Orbit Helm apps such as Hopy sign in with this account. Each app also has its own terms of use, which are presented for your acceptance the first time you sign in to that app.
3. Opening an account
- You must be at least 13 years old to open an account. Some apps may require a higher age limit.
- You must use an email address that belongs to you and that you can access. Each person is meant to have one account.
- Your details must be accurate and up to date. You may not open an account on someone else's behalf or by impersonating someone else.
4. Keeping your account secure
- You are responsible for protecting access to your email, to the devices that hold your passkeys, and to your recovery codes.
- If you see activity on your account that you don't recognise, end your sessions and write to us at account@orbithelm.com.
- Don't share your sign-in codes or recovery codes with anyone. Orbit Helm staff will never ask for them.
5. Acceptable use
When using the service, you may not:
- Try to get into someone else's account without permission, or try to obtain codes or passkeys.
- Use automated tools to open accounts in bulk, make sign-in attempts or try to get around the system's security measures.
- Do anything that would disrupt the service, overload it or put its security at risk.
- Use the service for purposes that are unlawful under applicable law.
If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to security@orbithelm.com without exploiting it; we will not take legal action over reports made in good faith.
6. Suspension and closure
We may suspend your account if you seriously breach these terms, if we suspect that your account has been compromised, or if we are legally required to. Where possible, we will tell you the reason, and you can object.
You can close your account at any time from the Privacy and data page. You can change your mind within 30 days of your closure request; once that period ends, your account and your data in connected apps are deleted. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to the service
To improve the service, we may add, change or remove features. We will tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect your account. The Orbit Account is free; if a paid service is added, its terms will be presented separately.
8. Liability
We provide the service with care and make every effort to keep it running without interruption, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses arising from a failure to protect the account details under your control (email, devices, recovery codes). This clause does not limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law that cannot be excluded by contract.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a date. If there is a significant change, we will present the new text for your acceptance the next time you sign in to your account; if you do not accept it, you can close your account.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Türkiye or another country as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country and your right to apply to its consumer arbitration committees or courts are preserved.
